I pulled this vintage Barbizon piece because the tiny pastel embroidery and lace-trimmed collar were way too sweet to stay hidden at home. Originally a vintage sleepwear piece, I cropped it to give all of that romantic detailing a more current, wearable shape.
The slightly billowy sleeves against the short hem are what make it work now. Wear it with denim through late summer, then take it into fall with relaxed straight or slightly wide-leg jeans and jelly ballet flats. It’s feminine without feeling precious.
